Rocky Balboa is a fictional charter but the story itself is based on a few real fighters and events. Balboa himself was created after Joe Frazier a fighter from Philadelphia that ran those same museum steps as Balboa did in the move and worked in a slaughterhouse. Frazier was tough in your face type of fighter that used to sharping his Boxing-punching slabs of meat in during his part time job at at slaughterhouse.

The story line for the Rocky movie was inspired by a Journeymen fighter of 1970’s named Chuck Wepner. Sometime during 1970’s Muhammad Ali decided to give Wepner a local club fighter the chance to fight for the Heavyweight title thus creating the Rocky story, Wepner went on to loss as did Rocky but he is credited as one of the first opponents to ever knock Muhammad Ali down.

Another thing about he Rocky movie that’s kind of interesting is that Rocky Balboa is created after Chuck Wepner and Apollo Creed is created after Muhammad ALi. IF you pay close attention both men Ali and Creed have the same flamboyant attitude and they both throw a lot of Jabs and dance on their toes.

What do you think when you see someone who just turned 18 graduating with an Associates Degree?
Okay, Actually, I’m Nigerian and in Nigeria most of us finish high school at the age of 16.
And i was just wondering what people thought.
Everyone at school (community college) says am smart but its not like i am smart-smart, I maintain a 4.0GPA, i just got lucky.

I finished high school and immediately came to the US because my dad is a citizen and he wanted me to stay with him. But i plan on going back when i am done with school (Omg, i didn’t know what racism was till i stepped my foot in the US-I never even knew there was a word like that.)

I came here July 2008 and pp kept on telling me i was mixed. I’m light skinned black and there are lots of light skinned people in Africa but i guess the media does not want us to see those people. That kinda stuff. Its like……………they want 2 maintain this permanent image of Africa as poor and suffering.
I was not poor, i had a pool in my house and i had maids and i never did my laundry.
But all is good.
